Sir David Beckham, who recently received the title and has been on an emotional and professional high ever since is down with an injury.On Friday, June 27, the former soccer player and Miami CF co-owner was spotted lying in a hospital bed with a blue sling around his arm. The news of the same was shared by Beckham's wife, Victoria on her Instagram stories, who was sending her well wishes to her husband.“Get well soon daddy,” wrote the fashion designer in her caption alongside a love heart emoji.In the story, David could be seen in a hospital gown as he smiled at the camera.

The former Spice Girls singer also shared another snap of her husband holding a friendship bracelet with the beads reading, "Get Well Soon." The photo was also snapped on a hospital bed.

While Victoria didn't share further details about the former player's injury, reports by New York Post and Telegraph, revealed that Beckham underwent surgery to repair a wrist fracture he sustained almost 22 years ago.The injury happened during a 2003 friendly match versus South Africa, according to the Irish Star- adding that a recent X-ray showed a screw was stuck in his forearm from the original surgery and didn't dissolve properly.
Beckham's injury comes after he recently received knighthood after which he will be addressed to Sir David Beckham and Victoria will be Lady Beckham. "You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you," Victoria shared in an Instagram post.
