Prince Harry and Meghan's child, Princess Lilibet Diana, who took birth in June 2021, was christened on March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor. While Lili and Archie will occasionally be referred to as princesses and prince in a formal context, it won't be done on a regular basis. The members of the royal family were invited to the christening, according to the couple's spokeswoman.
Between 20–30 people, including Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, and Lilibet's godfather Tyler Perry attended the private ceremony at the Sussexes' home in Montecito, California, on Friday. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon of food and dancing. It was a celebration that was joyous and full of love. Commenting on their children, Harry shared that he sees a lot of his mother's qualities in his daughter, while Archie is quite similar to Meghan. Also, the both children have beautiful blue eyes.
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, made the decision to "step back as 'senior' members'" of the British royal family, divide their time between the United Kingdom and North America, and become financially independent on January 8, 2020. In light of his own mother's experience raising kids in the limelight, Harry reflected on how his choice to stand down from his royal responsibilities to concentrate on being a parent was very crucial to him. Harry and Meghan's main motive for relocating to the U.S. was to provide their children with “as normal a life as possible” with the hope that their children will have a meaningful relationship with the royal family in the future. The couple is also grateful that the Queen could spend time with the children and could bless them both before passing away. Harry even said, "I will forever cherish every memory I had with her, especially the times she spent with my children."
"What's most crucial for the two of us is to make sure that we don't repeat the same mistakes that perhaps our parents made," Harry remarked over a series of videos and photographs of their kids. Meghan said, "I believe that everyone brings so much from their upbringing into the present. "Particularly when you're a divorced kid."
