Charlie Kirk suspect Tyler Robinson and his trans partner: What we know

The FBI is actively investigating whether the relationship of Charlie Kirk killer suspect Tyler Robinson and his transgender roommate had fueled the motive. The relationship came under scanner as Spencer Cox, the Governor of Utah, confirmed on Sunday that Robinson was in a relationship with his trans roommate.

This relationship has become a point of public and political discussion, partly because Charlie Kirk was vocal about conservative views, particularly on gender identity and transgender issues.


Meanwhile, Cox says his trans boyfriend is cooperating with the investigation. “The roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to female. I can say that he has been incredibly cooperative, this partner has been very cooperative, had no idea that this was happening,” Cox told the media.

Who is Tyler Robinson's romantic partner?

Until now, it is officially confirmed that Tyler Robinson, 22, is from Washington, Utah. He’s accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk during a public event at Utah Valley University. The Utah Governor, Spencer Cox, has said that Robinson had a roommate who was also his romantic partner. The partner is transgender — specifically, transitioning from male to female.

However, until now the partner’s identity hasn’t been officially confirmed or released in credible sources (though some publications have named someone, but that’s unverified). Few reports have identified him as Lance Twiggs. Tyler lived with his partner along with three other boys in a three bedroom apartment.
