The herd of Musk kids is expanding and how! The tech mogul has had his 14th kid and his 4th with Shivon Zilis, as Musk’s on-again-off-again partner and Neuralink executive, recently announced on social media.
Baby boy’s arrival!
Shivon Zilis took to X (formerly, Twitter) to share this piece of news and posted, “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much.”
Shivon made the announcement on X while celebrating their third child, Arcadia's first birthday.
The Tesla CEO and Zilis share four children: the twins Strider and Azure, Arcadia, and now Seldon. Until now, the name and gender of their third child had not been publicly disclosed.
Earlier, on February 28, Zilis, in two separate posts, revealed the gender and name of her third child with Musk, writing, "Happy 1st birthday, darling Arcadia. Mommy loves you with all her heart."
However, everything aside, Musk and Zilis’ fourth child, Seldon Lycurgus, has already drawn some attention to him - and this time, it’s because of his Punjabi roots.

Seldon Lycurgus’ birth marks Musk and Zilis’ fourth child together, following the births of twins Strider and Azure, and their daughter Arcadia. The birth announcement also renewed interest in Shivon’s Punjabi heritage, particularly in India.
As a matter of fact, Shivon Zilis was born in Ontario, Canada, to a Punjabi Indian mother and a Caucasian Canadian father. In a 2015 interview with People magazine, Zilis said she “pretty much turned out white — I just got the big eyes from the Punjabi side.”
As it turns out, four of Elon Musk’s children have Indian, specifically Punjabi roots, through their mother Shivon Zilis.
The meaning of the name:
Musk’s kids tend to have quite uncommon names, as the tech billionaire bears an affinity towards taking inspiration from both science and mythology. Seldon Lycurgus too, is no different.
The name Seldon is likely a reference to Hari Seldon, a character from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series. A mathematician and visionary, Seldon developed "psychohistory," a concept used to predict and shape the future of civilisation.
Given Musk's well-documented admiration for science fiction, the connection seems fitting.
Meanwhile, Lycurgus refers to the ancient Spartan lawgiver credited with shaping Sparta's military-focused society and governance. Known for his wisdom and strict legal reforms, he is said to have created eunomia, a system of "good order" that Spartans revered.
Recently, Shivon Zilis joined Elon Musk during his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while he was on a visit to the United States. The pictures of the family grabbed headlines for all the right reasons.
