Bride shocks guests by walking into Haldi ceremony as a 'bridosaur'

Weddings often see a combination of tradition and creativity but every now and then, weddings and their festivities come as a surprise with a fun element in it that no one sees coming. At a recent Haldi ceremony, the bride ditched the usual yellow outfit for a full-blown dinosaur costume. What followed was a wave of laughter, cheer, and viral fame. The internet can’t stop talking about this unforgettable moment.

The viral moment

The viral video was shared on Instagram by wedding host Malkeet Shergill with the caption, "Kabhi aisa kuch dekha hai?" (Have you ever seen something like this?). In the clip, the bride walks into her Haldi ceremony dressed as a dinosaur, turning every head at the venue. Guests looked on in disbelief before bursting into laughter and soon admired it as well.

From bride to ‘Brideosaur’

It didn’t take long for netizens to give the quirky bride a fitting nickname, "Brideosaur." One user joked, "Shadi se pehle hi sis ne apne asli roop dikha diya," while another dared others to top it: "Unique....Ye stunt main wedding me kar k dikhao." The moment turned into an internet sensation, clocking over 3 million views and 22,000 likes.

A groom’s delight

Even the groom couldn’t hide his joy. In the video, he walks over to his dino-bride, greets her with a hug, and begins dancing with her as the crowd cheers them on. While Haldi ceremonies are usually filled with colour, turmeric, and tradition, this one added a healthy dose of humor and love.

Brands join the fun

The lighthearted chaos didn’t go unnoticed by brands either. Ajio jumped into the comments with a witty take: "Godzilla (no), Bridezilla (yes)." The unexpected bridal entrance also attracted conversation across social media, with everyone from fashion lovers to wedding planners taking part to deliberate upon the bold and hilarious choice.

Tradition with a twist

Haldi ceremonies are usually marked by yellow outfits and turmeric rituals, but this bride clearly had other plans. Her dinosaur debut wasn’t just for laughs, it was a reminder that weddings should reflect personality, fun, and the freedom to be unapologetically yourself.
