Big names in Epstein files: Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, and what’s in the latest docs
The saga of Jeffrey Epstein and his mysterious network continues to grab headlines. The latest twist comes from the third batch of documents released by the Jeffrey Epstein Estate, handed over to the House Oversight Committee. These files offer a peek into Epstein’s world, and some surprisingly big names pop up, including billionaire Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, internet entrepreneur Peter Thiel, and Steve Bannon, a former advisor to Donald Trump, BBC reported.
So, what’s in these latest records? According to Democrats on the committee, they include a mix of phone message logs, flight logs and passenger manifests, financial ledgers, and even Epstein’s daily schedule. In other words, it’s like a backstage pass into the day-to-day life of one of the most notorious figures in recent history.
Similarly, a flight manifest from May 2000 shows Prince Andrew listed as a passenger on a flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, along with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 of conspiring with Epstein to traffic girls for sex. A heavily redacted ledger also references two payments for massages for an “Andrew” in February and May 2000. While Palace records, photographs, and press reports show that Prince Andrew was traveling to the US around the same time, it’s not clear if the “Andrew” in the ledger refers to him. Buckingham Palace noted on 11 May 2000 that Prince Andrew had flown to New York to attend a reception for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, returning to the UK on 15 May.
It’s worth noting that these are just pieces of a much larger puzzle. The third batch of documents is partial, meaning there’s still plenty we don’t know. Previous batches have shown similar types of material: flight logs, financial records, and daily schedules, all giving a sense of Epstein’s wide network and the people who moved through it. While some of the names attract the most media attention, the documents also provide a broader picture of Epstein’s operations, including his financial dealings and communications.
What’s clear is that the Epstein story isn’t going away anytime soon. Every new release of documents sparks fresh headlines and renewed questions about the people who were in Epstein’s orbit. Whether it’s business moguls, royalty, or political figures, the files keep showing that Epstein’s life intersected with some very influential people—and Congress is trying to get to the bottom of it.
For now, the public is left piecing together information from these partial records, watching closely for any new developments. The files might not tell the full story, but they do shed light on how Epstein’s world operated—and who was in it.
