Helix Bridge

Officially called the Helix, is a 280-meter pedestrian bridge that connects Marina Centre with Marina South, in Singapore. This bridge was opened in 2010 and its design is inspired by the structure of human DNA. Due to its unique structure and beautiful view this bridge offers, it is one of the prime tourist destinations.

​Gateshead Millennium Bridge

It is the world’s first and only tilting bridge, situated in Newcastle Gateshead, UK. The bridge connects Gateshead’s Quays Arts Quarter with Newcastle’s Quayside. This bridge tilts to let ships that are over 25 feet pass from under it.

​Eshima Ohashi Bridge

This bridge is situated in Japan and is 1.7 km in length. This bridge connects Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, and Sakaiminato, Tottori Prefecture, over Nakaumi Lake. This bridge seems dangerously steep from the Shimane side and has a gradient of 6.1%.

Rolling Bridge

It is a unique type of movable bridge that was completed in 2004. Rolling Bridge is located in the Paddington basin. This was designed by Thomas Heatherwick, the bridge is capable of rolling itself in an octagonal structure.

This bridge is of great cultural significance to Italy, as it was built in 1345. In 1400, Duke Ferdinand I made this bridge into a hub for silver and gold jewelers. This bridge makes a great marketplace over the Arno River.
