Tollywood to overhaul on-set safety, mandatory insurance likely for all films
IMPA and Artist Forum held a meeting and a decision was taken which aimed at renewing and strengthening safety norms for actors. It was agreed that the insurance amount will be linked to a film’s budget – an unprecedented move in the industry.
Rana Sarkar said the new SOP would go beyond insurance and several preventive measures have been discussed to avoid accidents on set. The written version of this will be shared soon.
