Kalyan pens a family drama for Venky-Chai

After the success of

Soggade Chinni Nayana

, Kalyan Krishna Kurasala is a much sought after director. The young man has three projects in the pipeline: one, a multi-starrer with

Venkatesh

and Naga Chaitanya, a project with Ravi Teja and then Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana, with Nagarjuna. Speaking about the Venkatesh-Naga Chaitanya film, Kalyan says, "Venkatesh sir and Chaitu will play mavayya-menalludu (uncle-nephew) onscreen. It's a film that will be high on family emotions. Chaitu is committed to a couple of projects currently, so once he becomes available, we'll move ahead with this project."

Krishna also clarifies on the rumours that he's going ahead with Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana with Ravi Teja. "The project being contemplated with Ravi Teja has a completely different script," laughs Kalyan and adds "Bangarraju will be made only with Nagarjuna sir and he alone fits the bill. Since Soggade… was such a big hit, there are a lot of expectations surrounding the sequel. So I'm taking my time with the script. Once it's ready and Nag sir gives the go-ahead, it will go on floors."
So which project will he be doing first after Soggade….? "We'll come out with an official announcement in the first week of November," says Kalyan.
