Deepak Mukut, head of Soham Rockstar which produced the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane-starrer, Sanam Teri Kasam, believes the South market is going through a phenomenal phase right now. “Some of the biggest recent hits in Indian cinema were remakes of South Indian films. And the success of Bahubali 2 has shown that there is huge potential for regional cinema. Apart from working with the top talent in these markets, we also want to back projects with fresh concepts and scripts that will help recognise promising talent in the South film industry,” says Deepak adding, “Soham Rockstar has a host of new projects lined up starting with Nayak 2, sequel to the Kamal Haasan-starrer Nayak, written by the veteran and versatile writer of Bahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Vijayendra Prasad apart from the South remake of blockbuster hit
