Making fans of
Shankar’s 2003 film ‘Boys’ happy, music composer Thaman S posted a picture with actor
Siddharth with the caption “#boys2!!”.
Fans immediately latched on and began commenting on how amazing it would be to see a sequel to the coming-of-age film, seeing as how Shankar has already delivered a sequel for ‘Robo’ with ‘2.0’ and is making a ‘Bharateeyudu 2’.
Upping the excitement quotient, Siddharth too shared the picture and wrote, “Hahahahahaha! KoLuthi vidu! Good boys will be good boys :)” (sic) Many fans commented under the picture hoping there really was a ‘Boys 2’ in the works. However, in reality, Thaman only shared a picture of them together after a recent meet which left the actor heaping praise on the composer’s music for Venky Atluri, Akhil Akkineni and Nidhhi Agerwal’s ‘Mr Majnu’.
‘Boys’ saw the film focused on six youngsters, played by then debutants Siddharth, Genelia, Thaman, Bharat, Nakul and Manikandan. While the film was a hit with youngsters, its bold content made it a taboo amongst many a cine-goer back in the day.
