Music Review: Seven
Album: Seven
Genre: Tollywood
Starring Havish, Rahman, Nandita Swetha, Regina Cassandra, Aditi Arya, Anisha Ambrose,
Opening the album on a romantic note is Madhushree’s Sampaddhoy Nanne, with vocal harmonies by Deepthi Parthasarathy and lyrics by Subham Viswanadh. The playful number sees Madhushree doing a fabulous job, but the lyrics by Subham and tune, music by Chaitan are dull and unimaginative.
Idhivarakepudu with Haricharan and Deepthi Parthasarathy’s vocals and Pulagam Chinnarayana’s lyrics is yet another playful, romantic number. But this one fares slightly better when it comes to the lyrics, tune and music, even though they’re not truly arresting. Haricharan and Deepthi do a great job with the vocals, elevating the number.
Ending the album on a peppy note is Varsinchana, with Haricharan and Alisha Thomas’ vocals and Srimani’s lyrics. While Haricharan’s vocals are a delight to listen to, Alisha’s vocals take the cake and is the one to watch out for. Chaitan too does a good job with the music while Srimani’s lyrics shine through.
The album of Seven is okay for a one-time listen with only Varsinchana standing out from the rest. The other two numbers are average. Give this one a listen if you’re looking for decent music this weekend. However, you aren’t missing out on much if you choose to give it a miss either.
