Music review: Happy Wedding
The music for Niharika Konidela and Sumanth Ashwin’s upcoming film
First on the album is It’s a Beautiful Day sung by
Next on the album is Dheemthana, featuring Dinkar’s vocals and Sharath on backing vocals. Yet again, Bala’s nadaswaram stands out in Shakti’s music, juxtaposing classical wedding music with modern styles. However, compared to the previous number, this peppy number pales midway through, offering nothing new or exciting.
Hemachandra and Sravana Bhargavi’s Kaadhani is penned by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. The words and melody of this one are beautifully set to Nathan’s flute. Sravana’s vocals however do not sound as effortless as Hemachandra’s, with the latter’s vocals being breezy and divine, elevating the number.

All in all, the album of Happy Wedding is good enough for a one-time listen this weekend, with the numbers Kaadhani and Chaluva being clear stand-outs. It’s a Beautiful Day too is a nice number. With a dreamy and youthful vibe, the jukebox of Happy Wedding is a definite smasher.

. This dreamy romantic number features beautiful vocals and lyrics. Though the music falters at first, it picks up slowly. Dhanunjay’s vocals and Shree Mani’s lyrics are just stunning, gelling well with Shyam’s violin. The rest of the music by Shakti blanches in comparison to these beautiful elements.Hemachandra and Sravana Bhargavi’s Kaadhani is penned by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Last on the album is
Chaluva
. Sung by Sindhuri Vishal, this one ends the album with a bang. The number has an old-school vibe to it, not only because of the melody but also Sindhuri’s vocals and Shakti’s music. The tabla beats and flute notes in this one stand out on their own. The song is easy on the ears and hummable making it a definite winner.end of article
