Music Review: Bheeshma
Album:
Genre: Tollywood
Venky Kudumula’s Bheeshma starring Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna has a short album featuring four songs composed by Mahati Swara Sagar.
First up is the Singles Anthem, a sweet number about a man yearning for a girlfriend, with lyrics by
Anurag lends his vocals for Sara Sari too, but doesn’t create the same magic as the previous number. This song is disappointing and is a bore to listen to.
Nakash Aziz’ Super Cute is a wannabe reggae-pop-EDM mix from hell with subpar lyrics. The music seems reminiscent of Alan Walker’s numbers and Nakash’s
vocals don’t do much to help the number. But there’s only so much anyone can do with such cliché tune and lyrics that are supposed to woo the female lead.
And then there’s the most ridiculous number on the album, Whattey Beauty, with Dhanunjay and Amala Chebolu’s music, with Kasarla Shyam’s lyrics. This number fills the quotient of having a mass number, albeit with lyrics like ‘twinkle twinkle little star, amma ayya intlo evaru leru’. Dhanunjay and Amala however manage to pour life into it and Mahati’s music works.
All in all, the album of Bheeshma is plain okay with most of the numbers on the album remaining subpar and only Singles Anthem remaining good enough for a one-time listen. If you haven’t heard the OST of the film already, you aren’t missing out on much.

. The number works thanks to Anurag’s vocals and the peppy tune andmusic
. The random chorus that kicks in halfway, however, plays spoilsport.Anurag lends his vocals for Sara Sari too, but doesn’t create the same magic as the previous number. This song is disappointing and is a bore to listen to.
