The much-talked about Liberation Song from
Prashant Kumar’s ‘Mithai’ released recently, standing at a run-time of whopping 6-minute-30-seconds.
The lyrical video sees
Rahul Ramakrishna breaking free of his metaphorical corporate shackles, destroying his work station and inspiring his fellow ‘comrades’ to do the same. Composed by Vivek Sagar, the song features lyrics by Kittu Vissapragada and vocals by
Anurag Kulkarni and
Sivam.
“Get Liberated. Here’s the liberation song from Mithai. #MithaiLiberationSong. https://youtu.be/IYuMbhgiOks.” (sic) wrote the film’s page on their social media.
Priyadarshi,
Kamal Kamaraju and Arsha who also star in the film shared the song on their social media too. The lyrics too talk of being free from corporate slavery and feature visuals of the IT area in Hyderabad, of people coming out of corporate offices in the city. Apart from that, the lyrical video also features clips from the film and some animation. The 2D animation in the video seems to have particularly clicked because a few comments under the video compliment Uday Reddy on his work.
‘Mithai’ is a dark comedy slated for release soon.
