Kollywood star Dhanush
and successful
director Karthik Subbaraj
have collaborated for an action thriller titled Jagame Tantram. Now, it has been confirmed that the film’s first single,
Rakita
will be released on July 28, according to director Karthik Subbaraj who shared the news via his Twitter page on Tuesday Morning.
The first look poster of Dhanush was released in February, and it has been well received by the audience. Going by the first poster of the film, it can be assumed that viewers will get to see Dhanush in a new avatar. Jagame Tantram features an ensemble cast of
Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanchana Natarajan, James Cosmo, Joju George, Kalaiyarasan, Soundararaja, Deepak Paramesh, Devan, Vadivukkarasi, Chinni Jayanth, Ramachandran Durairaj, Roman Fiori, Muthukumar and Ashwanth Ashokkumar.
The film marks the first time collaboration of Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj, best known for Pizza, Jigarthanda and Petta. The film has music by
Santhosh Narayanan, the current sensation in the Tamil filmdom with hit albums such Madras, Iruthi Suttru, Kabali, Kaashmora, Bairavaa, Kaala and Vada Chennai to his credit. Produced by Y NOT Studios, the film is expected to hit the screens later this year. It will have a simultaneous dubbed release in Telugu.
