'Dhana Dhana Dhann' from 'Mallesham' is dipped in nostalgia

The first single, ‘Dhana Dhana Dhann’ from Raj R’s ‘Mallesham’, starring Priyadarshi, Ananya and Jhansi in lead roles released on Tuesday.
With music composed by Mark K Robin, the number sees vocals by Anurag Kulkarni and lyrics by Goreti Venkanna. Describing the number on his social media, Priyadarshi wrote, “This year, every school's Annual Day function will have one performance on this Song! @markkrobin will make you believe that.#DhanaDhanaDhann @MalleshamMovie #MalleshamMovieOnJune21st.” (sic)

The number, which sees visuals from the film, sees children playing in the fields and near their school. The music by Mark K Robin, along with Anurag’s vocals and especially Venkanna’s lyrics invoke a sense of nostalgia, so do the visuals. The film, which charts the journey of Padma Shri winner Chintakindi Mallesham is slated for release on June 21. It remains to be seen how the other numbers from the film will fare.
