Why Jaya Janaki Nayaka makes for a perfect Vinayaka Chavithi watch!

Janaki is a welcome departure from the typical “belly-shaking glam-doll roles” that mana leading ladies find themselves portraying most often on screen. It’s a decision she makes on her own and she stands by it,” says Rakul adding, “And later, she decides to defy societal stereotypes to stand by her lover on her own terms. That’s what etched the role in minds of the people. In fact, the entire film revolves around her.”

“Every role has a very well defined character graph. How Vani Viswanath doesn’t hesitate to go to any length to see her brother happy is something women can connect to. Falguni, on the other hand, is a rebel who believes relationships are an unwanted baggage. But the love Gagan has for Janaki reinforces her faith in love and human values,” explains Boyapati, who is confident that the ticket sales of the film will soar on Vinayaka Chavithi.

“Jaya Janaki Nayaka has something to offer everyone. Every couple will learn from Janaki and Gagan that true love is about sticking together, whatever the circumstances. Every daughter will identify with Janaki and relate to her independence and how she places her family over everything else. It also makes you think about repression of women in society and that every woman has the right to a life of dignity. Similarly, every sister will empathise with Vani’s character and her love for her brother. And Falguni will
resonate with all the rebels who like to live life on their own terms,” says Boyapati signing off.
