Vijay’s next with Malavika Nair will not be a romcom now

has come-up with a new script for her next film starring

Vijay Devarakonda

and Malvika Nair. “It was initially supposed to be a rom-com and Nandini was working on the script for a while, but it wasn’t coming together. Meanwhile, she happened to discuss another plotline she had in mind with director Trivikram, who felt it was far better than what she was working on.

It was Trivikram who convinced Nandini to ditch the

rom-com genre

and attempt something fresh,” informs a source close to the development.
Apparently, Nandini has finished writing the final script recently. it will be an intense romantic drama. “It is going to be a serious love story, which will be a complete departure from the breezy rom-coms Nandini is famous for. The filmmaker is working on the dialogues for the film presently,” adds the source.
