Vijay Deverakonda urges people to be judicious about water

shortage very seriously.

The actor, who was recently present at the pre-release event of Aishwarya Rajesh’s upcoming sports drama Kousalya Krishnamurthy brought up the topic again, urging his fans and people of Hyderabad to be judicious about usage of water.

Speaking about the scarcity of water and the government’s efforts in bringing in water from Kaleshwaram water to the city, he said, "We are using water rampantly. What we don't know is that water is not an unlimited supply, it's very limited. If we use that unchecked, experts say that we will run out of drinking water by 2022. It is a serious problem; the government is doing so much to bring the Kaleshwaram water to the city. Water is an issue we need to address immediately."

Explaining the shortage of water he has seen in his home, he asked people to change their habits. " Even while you brush in the morning, turn off the tap when not in use. If you have any leaks in the home, immediately call a plumber a fix it. If we start saving from today we will have this resource in future, otherwise, one day when we wake up, there would be no water and without water, we cannot do anything in life.” He added, “Recently, I have also faced a water shortage in my home. And these days we are having a shortage of rainfall as well, so it has become a big problem. I want you all to be very serious about this. We should start saving it first and then eventually make everyone aware of this. Water is a serious issue, try to save it.”
