Theatrical rights of George Reddy in Nizam bought by Global Cinemas

Based on the life of the famous student leader,

George Reddy

, who was brutally murdered at the Osmania University campus in 1972, the film is finally set to hit screens this winter.

Abhishek Picture that bought the worldwide theatrical rights of the film has given the Nizam distribution rights to Global Cinemas. The recently released trailer of George Reddy has created quite a stir, with many leading names in the industry already praising it. It’s success has ensured good pre-release business for the film, according to sources.

Director Jeevan Reddy, who got into limelight with the film Dalam has helmed this biopic which stars Sandeep Madhav aka Sandy of Vangaveeti fame in the titular role. Manoj Nandam, Chaitanya Krishna, Shruti, Vinay Varma, Tiruveer, Abhay, Muskaan and Mahathi will play key roles in the biographical college drama. Satya Dev will also be seen in a guest role in the film. Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, who was the cinematographer for the sensational film

has worked for the film.

George Reddy is being produced by Appireddy of Mic Movies in collaboration with Silly Monks and Three Lines Cinema. The film that is presently in post-production will soon have a release date.
