original starring Shraddha Srinath, Roger Narayan and Dileep Raj in lead roles, the remakes will star

and Rahul Ravindran.

Samantha who was last seen playing the gutsy village belle Ramalaxmi in ‘Rangasthalam’, underwent a makeover for ‘U Turn’ by chopping off her locks, a la the character in the original film. She began shooting for the film in February. Now that shoot is done, Samantha recently also posted on her social media that she will soon grow out her short hair.

In the film, Samantha will be seen playing the role of a Times of India intern with a crush on her colleague. While working on an article regarding accidents at a flyover, she stumbles upon something far more mysterious. Rahul Ravindran will play the role of the crime reporter she has a crush on while Aadhi Pinisetty will play the role of a cop who helps her solve the mystery.
