Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (KVJ), directed by Krish (Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi), has Daggubati Rana and Nayanathara playing the lead roles. KVJ introduces one of the oldest forms of theatre — Surabhi. In Bellary, he doesn’t just enact those roles but also experiences each one of the characters.
Surabhi form of theatre, in pre-Independence era, was performed in Bellary prior to Dasara. It was a green patch of land. All that’s remaining today is barren land and a notorious association with mining. The film tries to capture this contrast. And Nayantara, who plays a journalist, tries to capture these recent developments in Bellary.
The audio of the film got a great response and the first trailer has created a good buzz. It was also reported that 'Victory' Venkatesh and Sameera Reddy are playing cameos. Sai baba Jagarlamudi is producing the film and Mani Sharma is composing the music. Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum will also release in Tamil as Ongaram.
