Not starring in Rajnikanth’s next: Gopichand

Rumours were rife that that Gopichand was all set to play the antagonist in Rajnikanth’s 168^th film titled Annaatthe. The movie would have been Gopichand’s entry into Kollywood. But now it is being reported that this is not the case. The Golimaar actor clarified, “I am not sure how this rumours about me working in Rajni Sir’s next film began. But I think it is because of my close friendship with Annaatthe’s director, Siva.We are very good friends and we meet up quite often. He also told me about wanting to direct me in a film but he has been busy with other projects in Kollywood but the right script has just not come along yet.” Siva has directed Gopichand in Souryam and Sankham previously.
