Nithiin to play a London-based lover boy in his next

Actor Nithiin, who’s currently going through a lean phase in his career, is all set to return to doing what he does best — charm the audience in a love story. The actor will be seen in a romcom to be helmed by director Ramesh Varma.

The film will be set in London and is being touted as a romantic entertainer on the lines of the actor’s earlier hits — Ishq and Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. “It is a pure love story that will tug at your heartstrings. The story will revolve around Nithiin’s character and will take the audience on a roller-coaster ride with the range of emotions that the lead characters go through,” shares director Ramesh Varma.

The film’s shoot is set to commence in the first week of August with Natarajan Subramaniam handling the cinematography and Devi Sri Prasad composing the music. “We have a strong technical team and the film will be a visual treat for the audience. Nithiin loved the script and gave the nod for the project immediately. While it is a strong love story, the film will also have other commercial elements, including fights and a lot of comedy,” reveals the director, who has previously directed films like

Abbayitho Ammayi

, Veera and Ride.

While the female lead is yet to be finalised, we hear that actress Kiara Advani has been approached to romance Nithiin in the film. “It’s premature to discuss the
female lead right now. An official announcement will be made in a couple of days,” the director adds.
