superstar Mammootty in the lead role of the iconic Telugu politician, the film is slated for a worldwide release on December 21, which happens to be the

birthday

of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The YSRCP party founder is the only son of YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

and the teaser of ‘Yatra’ managed to impress the audience big-time. Unlike the usual biopic films, ‘Yatra’ doesn’t solely focus on the life and times of YSR, but it majorly emphasises on his 1475-Km historic padayatra that changed the course of politics in unified Andhra Pradesh. Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam are essaying crucial roles in this biopic bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy.

Mammootty is returning to the Telugu celluloid after a gap of 20 years for ‘Yatra’. The film is simultaneously made along with NTR’s biopic which is helmed by talented filmmaker Krish.
