YRF to sue makers of Jabardasth

It's confirmed. Yash Raj Films, the makers of the hit Hindi movie Band Baaja Baaraat, are in the process of taking legal action against the makers of Telugu flick, Jabardasth. When contacted, Rafiq Gangjee-Vice President Marketing & Communications at YRF, said, ���We had shared our concerns with them early last year before the film went on floor, but unfortunately the Producers did not acknowledge the same. We were hopeful that Jabardasth would not have any similarity with Band Baaja Baaraat. However, now with the release of Jabardast, it seems obvious that the film is dependent on plot lines from Band Baaja Baaraat. Irrespective of whether we are planning to venture out into the South, no one has the right to infringe on our IP. Our legal team is looking at evaluating the film in respect to its content and we are in the process of taking appropriate action, if required.���
