Known to keep her private life under wraps, actress Swathi Reddy aka Colors Swathi managed to keep her engagement to Vikas, a pilot from Kochi, a secret for months. Now, the cat’s finally out of the bag!
Our sources inform us that the star is busy prepping for her

wedding

on August 30, and that the shaadi cards have started doing the rounds, with only close friends, family and chosen ones from the industry in the loop.
When we caught up with Swathi, she finally confirmed the news, saying, “Honestly speaking, I wanted my wedding to be a very quiet and
simple affair. In my head, it’s just another girl getting married and so I wanted to avoid all the attention. I revealed the news only to a few of
my industry friends until now. With just 15 days to go, I started sending out invites, and that’s when it got leaked. I wanted to wait till after I was hitched to shout it out loud. Nevertheless, I’m happy to be getting married.”

actress remained tight-lipped, only revealing that the marriage was a little bit of both — love and arranged. “His name is Vikas. He’s from Kochi, and a pilot by profession, working for an international airline. He’s a happy, regular guy who is not from this industry. He is a very grounded person,” she says.
“That’s one of the reasons why I wanted my wedding to be very private, because I don’t want the baggage of my career to seep into my wedding celebrations or rituals. I wanted everything to go smoothly, without any hungama, as I am not a hungama person,” says Swathi.
Swathi, who has planned a very intimate wedding, goes on to add, “But now that it’s out in the open, I am like, ‘okay, let me chill’. I am not doing something wrong, that I should be hiding. Having said that, the wedding will still be a very intimate affair, with only family and very close friends in attendance.”
The actress tells us that as much as she is looking forward to this new chapter in life, she still plans to continue acting. “I feel that getting married is part of the natural progression of life. You get a partner, and you go ahead in life. So, my work is not gonna stop. I’ll go mad if I don’t work and, to be honest, everybody should be working. Having said that, I am open to life, and doing anything right now. I’ve been in the industry for 16 years, so it’s time to focus on my life and not worry about yeh kya ho raha hai and woh kya ho raha hai,” she signs off.
