Yagnam completes 15 years of release

Gopichand’s Yagnam is not just a well-made action entertainer in Tollywood but also one of the blockbuster hits in the career of the actor. The drama narrating the life of a loyal servant Seenu touched a chord with the audience when it released in 2004. Starring Gopichand and Moon Banerjee in the lead roles, this is the story of a loyal servant Seenu who is loved by his owner’s daughter Sailaja, swings into action by uniting the forces of followers in the warring groups to teach their faction leader a lesson.
The film saw Devaraj as the faction leader and Moon Banerjee as his daughter. It was a versatile actor Prakash Raj as the police inspector, who stands against the evil forces that are threatening to hero and heroine and won hearts with his superb performance. Be it Chamak Chamakmani, Emchesavo Na Manasu, Chinnanaati Chelikade, Haayiga Amma Vollo and Thongi Thongi, the songs of the movie were also loved by the audience, thanks to the music director Mani Sharma.
Director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary’s treatment in the making earned immense appreciation. The film has the perfect blend of comedy and drama as well as it excelled with its emotional and action sequences. Pokuri Babu Rao had produced the movie under Eetharam Films banner. The film also featured Vijaya Rangaraju, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Narra Venkateswara Rao, Raghu Babu, Suman Setty, Jhansi and Jahnavi.
