Who is Darshan's 'Bulbul'?

Anushka Shetty or Kajal Aggarwal may soon mark their Sandalwood debut, if sources are to be believed. Both have been approached to play the leading lady in Darshan���������s next, Bulbul, directed by MD Shridar.
Confirms Shridar, ���������Yes, we have approached Anushka and Kajal to romance Darshan in the film. The heroine���������s role is very crucial and that���������s one of the reasons we are looking at a popular actor.We are still in the discussion stage and should finalize the star cast in a couple of weeks. Darshan has acted with most Kannada heroines and we are looking at an interesting pairing.���������
Does Shridar have any other actor in mind, in case both Kajal and Anushka don���������t sign up for the project? ���������We are trying our best to get one of them for the role. If dates don���������t work out with either of them, I might look at introducing a new girl,��������� he says.
There are reports that the film will be a remake of the Telugu film 'Darling', which had Prabhas and Kajal in the lead. ���������I wouldn���������t call this a complete remake, as we have changed almost 50% of the script. We have tweaked the story to suit the Kannada audience. Along with Ambareesh, we are looking at casting some of the senior Kannada stars as well,��������� says Shridar.
Darshan is currently busy with Viraat, while Shridar is completing his two pending projects, Sagar and Galatta ��������� War of Love.

���������It���������s a heroine-oriented subject and we are looking at casting a popular actor. I am not interfering in the casting. The makers of the film will take the final call. Both Anushka and Kajal have been approached and talks are still going on. Nevertheless, we still have a lot of time to decide, as we are rolling out the project only by the first week of May,��������� says Darshan.
Meanwhile, industry sources say that Anushka has greater chances to be a part of this project.
