Samantha’s latest film ‘Yashoda’ was released to a good response from the audience and she also has received critical acclaim for her performances in the film. Directed by Tamil filmmakers Hari and Harish as an action thriller with a surrogacy backdrop, the film also did a decent collection at the box office. However, the film has faced legal issues and its makers also served notices to stop its digital and OTT release.

The EVA hospital group has filed a petition on the movie makers alleging that the name ‘EVA Hospital’ was shown in a bad light in the film and that has tarnished the hospital's credibility. Therefore, they requested the court to stop film streaming online and other digital platforms immediately.

Following this, the court has issued a notice to the 'Yashoda' makers and the filmmakers are yet to respond to this matter.

Until the makers give their explanation over the usage of the ‘EVA’ name the issue will not be solved and it will get a go-ahead nod to release on OTT and other digital platforms. The court has reportedly scheduled its further hearing on December 19.
