Naga Chaitanya is celebrating his 38th birthday today. The South Indian star made his Bollywood debut in the Aamir Khan starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Released in 2022, this film is the Indian adaptation of the classic 'Forrest Gump', where Chaitanya played the role of Benjamin Buford Blue, also known as Bubba.

Throwback to the time when the 'Dhootha' star shared that he had no regrets about being part of the project and cherishes the experience of working alongside Aamir Khan despite the film not being able to perform at the box office.

In an interview with Mirchi 9, Chaitanya shared that his primary motivation for joining 'Laal Singh Chaddha' was to learn from the '3 idiots' actor. He initially hoped to spend just a couple of days with him but ended up working closely with Aamir for nearly six months.

He expressed that he connected deeply with the script and appreciated the honesty and dedication Aamir brought to the project. He further said "I just followed him in this journey and I have no regrets at all. It’s unfortunate that the movie didn’t work out but I came out as an evolved person, both professionally and personally. It’s because of what he taught me."

Although the film did not perform well commercially, earning only around Rs 61 crore against its Rs 180 crore budget, Chaitanya views his involvement as an investment for his future.

For the unversed, Chaitanya was brought on board to replace Vijay Sethupathi, who was originally cast for the role. His character served as Aamir Khan’s best friend in the film, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh.

As he celebrates his birthday, Naga Chaitanya is also preparing for his upcoming wedding with actress Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4, 2024. The wedding ceremony will be held at Annapurna Studios, as the couple wants to pay tribute to Naga Chaitanya's late grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who founded the studio keeping the affair simple and close-knit.

On the work front, he is set to appear in the adventure-drama film 'Thandel' starring alongside Sai Pallavi.
