When Allu Arjun once revealed he cried all day when Sridevi got married

Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun once shared a heartfelt story about his childhood crush on the legendary actress Sridevi. Like many boys back from his days are a big fan of the late actress. However, the 'Pushpa' star revealed how deeply he admired her. Throwback to the time when he shared that once in his life, it was hard to see her with anyone else.

Allu Arjun's childhood crush on Sridevi

During an old interview as per a Pinkvilla report, Allu Arjun explained that while many boys of his generation saw Sridevi as a dream girl, his admiration was more serious and intense. Her charm, talent, and screen presence had made a lasting impact on him during his formative years.

When news broke in June 1996 that Sridevi had wedded filmmaker Boney Kapoor, a young Allu Arjun was left heartbroken and cried the entire day.

He said, "I had a huge crush on Sridevi. I loved her so much that I couldn’t see anyone else like her. When I came to know that she got married to Boney Kapoor, I cried the whole day. I couldn’t believe it."

Fast forward to today, Allu Arjun is happily married to Sneha Reddy, and the couple is blessed with two children, Ayaan and Arha.

Sridevi, who ruled Indian cinema for decades, tragically passed away in 2018 due to accidental drowning in Dubai. She left behind a rich legacy and is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and their daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, both of whom have followed in her footsteps in the film industry.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is currently working on a film directed by Atlee, known for his blockbuster hits like 'Mersal' and 'Jawan'. Additionally, Allu Arjun is also set to make his fourth collaboration with director Trivikram Srinivas.
