We are so compatible I know we will have a happy life ahead: Raja Chembolu
Lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s son Raja Chembolu is a happy man to have finally tied the knot to Bommakanti Hima Bindu in an intimate ceremony at a star hotel in the city on Saturday. While the alliance is an arranged one and Raja only met his wife a few months ago, he says he was oh-so-in-love he couldn’t wait to tie the knot. “The lockdown gave us ample time to get to know each other after family friends set up this alliance,” says the actor happily, adding, “And once I got to know her, I really couldn’t wait to tie the knot and make it official! It hasn’t sunk in yet though because we’re busy celebrating.

Raja opted for a grey kurta paired with an ivory and gold bandgala to pose for the wedding pictures, while his bride opted for a hot pink saree paired with a yellow blouse. For the muhurtam however, Raja and Hima both went totally traditional, with the actor wearing a white pancha with just a kandva and the bride opting for a red and gold pattu saree that she paired with a green, embroidered blouse. Raja and Hima looked adorable as they posed in their white madhuparkam clothes with a green, yellow and white mandap made out of leaves and flowers making up their backdrop. The wedding was a star-studded one with Tollywood biggies like Vamshi Paidipally, Allu Aravind, Trivikram Srinivas, Krish and more blessing the couple. The guest-list however was kept limited to 120 of their closest friends and family.

“We decided to keep it limited keeping the Covid-19 restrictions in mind,” says Raja, even as he’s called away. “We began the festivities on Sunday with the traditional Satyanarayana Vratam at home. I’m glad we got to celebrate this special occasion with loved ones despite the pandemic. Now, I just can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Hima,” says the actor, all smiles. “I’m so excited, him, his friends and family already feel like home away from home for me,” says Hima, rounding off.
