Renowned Tollywood director
Bobby's father Kolli Mohana Rao, passed away on Sunday, August 28. He was 69 years old. Unwell for a while Mohana Rao was hospitalised for the past few days and was battling with liver disease.
According to the reports, he was suffering from a liver-related ailment for the past few years and passed away on Sunday at 12.15 PM in a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was survived by his wife and son. The last rites will be performed on Monday at his hometown Nagarampalem, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Several Tollywood celebrities are mourning the loss of director Bobby.
Born and brought up in Nagarampalem, Guntur district, director KS Ravindra (Bobby) started his career as an assistant to writer Chinni Krishna in 2003. After that, he worked as an assistant to directors Dasharath and Gopichand Malineni. Bobby entered the film industry by providing the story of a film called 'Bhadradri'. Later, he provided the screenplay and story for the Kannada film 'Veera Parampare'. Apart from writing the screenplay for movies like 'Don Seenu', 'O My Friend' and 'Bodyguard', the director has contributed stories to films like 'Balupu' and 'Alludu Seenu'.
Bobby made his directorial debut with the Telugu film 'Power' (2014). He directed a total of 4 films, including 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh', 'Jai Lava Kusa' and 'Venky Mama'. Currently, he is working on megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer 'Waltair Veerayya'. Shruti Haasan is playing the heroine in this movie, which is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers on a huge budget.
