Vishwak Sen teams up with KV Anudeep for family entertainer 'Funky'; Shoot begins after Sankranti

Vishwak Sen had a busy calendar delivering three films in the year. The actor has now announced his upcoming film, which is officially titled, 'Funky', which is directed by KV Anudeep and is touted to be a family entertainer.

Makers on their social media handles, shared the poster of the film which had a yellow background with written Funky in a red-orange shade looking funky.

With the poster they wrote,"Mass Ka Das @VishwakSenActor and Super Fun Director @anudeepfilm bringing you #FUNKY, a laugh-out-loud FAMILY ENTERTAINER! Pooja Ceremony Commenced Today, Shoot Begins After Sankranthi! "

They described the film as a "laugh-out-loud family entertainer," expected to give an experience for audiences. The Pooja ceremony for the film was held in Hyderabad, marking the official start of the project. During the ceremony, director Kalyan Shankar turned on the camera after director Nag Ashwin of the 'Kalki 2898 AD' fame clapped to signal the beginning of the shoot.

The film is scheduled to begin the shoot after the Sankranti festival in January 2025, where it is hoped to be of KV Anudeep's signature humour. The music for the film will be composed by Bheems Ceciroleo

Alongside Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen, the film will feature Ashika Ranganath as the female lead.

Vishwak Sen this year had three releases, with 'Gaami' released in March. The film had an average reception at the box office but was praised for a unique storyline. His second release, 'Gangs of Godavari', was released earlier which is a gritty action drama. Vishwak's performance was well-received playing an intense role. Lastly, he was seen in 'Mechanic Rocky' which is a comedy-action film. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it performed decently at the box office and has been gearing up for its OTT release.
