After Arshad Warsi's comment on Prabhas' portrayal in 'Kalki 2898 AD', many actors came front to share their opinion and called out Arshad Warsi for his statement. The Hindi actor in a podcast stated that Prabhas looked like a joker in the film 'Kalki 2898 AD' and many stars in the Telugu industry came forwards to state that the actor cannot compare Prabhas to anything and should have only constructively criticised if he did not like the film.
The Telugu movie Artistes' Association President, actor Vishnu Manchu who is sharing the screenspace with Prabhas in the upcoming film 'Kannappa' said that he has concerns over the comments made by Arshad Warsi on Prabhas and in an official letter, he stated that the belittling comment has hurt the sentiments of Telugu films fans.
“In today’s age of social media, where every word can quickly escalate into widespread debate, it is crucial that we, as public figures, exercise caution in our expressions. Words have power, and they can either build bridges or create rifts. Mr. Warsi’s remark, unfortunately, has created unnecessary negativity among cinema lovers and within our fraternity. We request that Mr. Warsi be advised to refrain from making such remarks about fellow actors in the future. It is essential that we maintain the dignity and respect that each of our colleagues deserves, regardless of their regional affiliation,” Vishnu’s letter read.
Actors Sudheer Babu, Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Nani also rected to this controversial statement. Actor Nani in a statement mentioned that Arshad Warsi is glorifying an umimporatnant matter and the otehr two actors referred to Prabhas' role to be written like that by director Nag Ahwin for the film's story and added that it was liked by the fans which made it to achieve the fourth highest grossing Indian movie with Rs 1200 crore box office collection.
