'Virata Parvam' Review, Release LIVE UPDATES: Audience can’t stop praising Sai Pallavi & Rana Daggubati's impactful performances in Venu Udugula's period romantic action-drama
Venu Udugula directorial 'Virata Parvam', starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, is out in theatres today. The period action-drama also stars Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, Sai Chand and Nivetha Pethuraj in the other prominent roles. While Rana will play comrade Ravanna, Sai Pallavi will be seen as his love interest Vennela. The trailer of the film 'Virata Parvam' has garnered a tremendous response from cinephiles. The film is being bankrolled jointly by Rana's father D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banners of 'Suresh productions' and 'Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas'. The film has been shot by foreign cinematographer Dani Salo along with Divakar Mani and has its editing taken care of by multiple award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad. Action sequences were choreographed by Peter Hein and Stefan Richter, while its choreography is taken care of by Raju Sundaram and Prem Rakshith Masters. Reportedly speaking about religious violence, Sai Pallavi in an interview with a media channel expressed that the Kashmir Pandits genocide and cow vigilantism are not different. Her comment has sparked a row on the internet and many Hindutva supporters are claiming that the actress is trivialising Kashmiri Pandit Exodus. However, many Twitter users have come in support of the actress and praised her for her brave comments.According to media reports, a police case has been filed against the actress in Hyderabad's Sultan Bazar police station. Reportedly, a petitioner has submitted a complaint objecting Sai Pallavi's statement.
