Vijayendra Prasad is like a father figure to me: Atlee

Tamil director Atlee is on a high. Not only has his latest film, Vijay-starrer ( in Telugu) emerged as the highest ever grosser in the history of Tamil cinema collecting Rs 220 crore to date, it is also doing well in Telugu. Atlee was in Hyderabad recently to promote where he spoke to the media. “I first met Vijayendra Prasad garu when I was in Hyderabad for the promotions of ( in Tamil).I told him that I had enjoyed the film (Vijayendra Prasad gave the story for the film) a lot and that I wanted to work with him. He echoed my sentiment and also said. “Like my son Rajamouli, you are also aware of the pulse of the audience. Both of you think alike. You are also like a son to me.” I will always cherish those words of his, said Atlee. Incidentally, Vijayendra Prasad had worked on the screenplay for along with Atlee.
