Vijay Deverakonda's 'VD12' to be a two-part film

Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, tentatively titled 'VD12,' directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri of 'Jersey' fame. In a recent interview, filmmaker Naga Vamsi shared that the film will be a two-part series, with each part featuring a different storyline.

As per a report by 123Telugu, the spy action thriller film is 80% complete, but there may be a delay in its release originally scheduled for March 28, 2025, if Pawan Kalyan's film 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' is confirmed for the same date.

Naga Vamsi said that 'VD12' will surprise audiences with its scale and production quality; he said, "Many believe it’s a small film being quietly made, but it’s solid and will be a massive feast on the big screen."

The film also features actor Satyadev in a crucial role, where he will portray a character with negative shades, promising to create intense moments alongside Vijay.

Bhagyashree Borse is expected to play the female lead.

The first glimpse of the film showcases Vijay in a rugged and intense avatar. In the recently released poster, he is depicted in a dramatic side profile, seemingly shouting into the rain.

The 'Liger' actor has had some rocky box office performances with his recent releases like 'Family Star' and 'Khushi,' which have had subpar performances despite having high expectations.

The makers also shot some key scenes in Sri Lanka.
