Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwaala trailer trends at #1

Trending at #1 on YouTube is the trailer of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film ‘Taxiwaala’, co-starring Priyanka Jawalkar and directed by Rahul Sankrityan.
Raking in more than 1.5M views since its release, the trailer has received good response for its content. While previously nothing much was known about the film, the trailer reveals that the film will be a comedy-horror, with the taxi Deverakonda drives seemingly possessed.
The trailer holds a tone that’s fresh to Telugu cinema and one that Stephen King’s stories usually have. Featuring music by Jakes Bejoy, some comments under the video also liken it to the Bollywood film ‘Tarzan the Wonder Car’ and Nayanthara’s horror film ‘Dora’.
“Laughs, screams and one bloody fun ride! #Taxiwaala Worldwide in theatres on Nov17! #TaxiwaalaTrailer,” (sic) wrote Vijay Deverakonda releasing the trailer on his social media. ‘Taxiwaala’ faced issues in the past with delayed release and the film leaking online. However, with the film geared up for release this weekend, it remains to be seen how it’ll fare.
