Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom secures OTT rights for a whopping Rs 50 crore: Report

Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited action drama Kingdom on July 31, and the buzz surrounding the film has only grown stronger. Even before its theatrical release, the film has secured a major OTT deal.


Kingdom OTT rights sold for Rs 50 Crore

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, one of the leading OTT platforms has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights for Kingdom at a substantial price of Rs 50 crore. The same report noted that the OTT platform has also picked up the rights to Ravi Teja's Mass Jathara for Rs 20 crore.



Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom is described as a spy action drama that centres around the journey of a rising leader who must safeguard his people. The film features Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in prominent roles. It is expected to have two parts, and Vijay’s raw and real look in the film’s first glimpse has already taken the internet by storm.

Anirudh Ravichander's music for Deverakonda

Music director Anirudh Ravichander is collaborating with Vijay Deverakonda for the first time through Kingdom. The makers recently released the third single titled "Anna Antene" from the movie, which showcases the bond between Vijay and Satyadev's characters. The track has attracted attention from fans and social media users.

Producer Naga Vamsi took to social media to explain why Anirudh was roped in to sing the track himself. He shared, “Even after trying it with multiple singers, we felt that only the Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander would suit this one best and requested him to sing #AnnaAntene (after so many ‘no’s from him).”

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda has already lined up his next project after Kingdom. He will be teaming up with Rahul Sankrityan for a period drama tentatively titled VD14.
