Vijay Deverakonda’s film with Sukumar still on the cards

After numerous speculations did rounds about Vijay Deverakonda’s film with director Sukumar, the film’s team clarified rumours on Monday.
Making it clear that there has been no change in casting and nor is the project shelved, they wrote on their social media, “Falcon Creations has announced its prestigious maiden project with Hero Vijay Deverakonda in the direction of Sukumar sir.This project shall start as planned, once the pre-existing commitments of Hero and Director are completed.” (sic)

There were rumours that Ram Charan had replaced Vijay in the pan-India project. However, the makers wrote, “Do not believe misinformation being spread by some sections. We strongly condemn such unverified gossip and false propaganda! There is no change in the plan, "Sukumar-VD-Falcon" is only going to get BIGGER!” (sic) The film is slated to release in 2022 as per plan.
For now, Vijay Deverakonda is busy shooting for Liger with director Puri Jagannadh and Ananya Panday. Shooting for the film has been stalled due to the rise in the number of cases and the lockdown in Mumbai. The actor is however undergoing special training to up his fitness game for the film. Along with Telugu, Liger will release in Hindi, Malayalam , Kannada and Tamil. Karan Johar will be presenting this Puri Jagannadh directorial in Bollywood. Sukumar will join Vijay after wrapping his current project Pushpa with Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna.
