Video of woman publicly slapping Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy goes viral; she was upset after watching his negative role in 'Love Reddy'

A shocking video is going viral on the internet in which Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy was assaulted by a fan at a theatre in Hyderabad yesterday (October 25). The incident occurred during a promotional visit following the screening of his latest movie, 'Love Reddy', where Ramaswamy plays a villain.

In the viral video on Twitter, the actor was seen making a surprise entry at the theatre alongside his co-stars after the screening. However, an unexpected commotion unfolded when a woman from the crowd rushed towards Ramaswamy, slapped him, and grabbed his collar. His co-stars were visibly shocked as they rushed to protect him, while the actor appeared confused as the woman verbally abused him in public.


Reports suggest the woman was upset with his negative role in the film, in which he creates trouble for the lead couple. In the video, she can be heard questioning him angrily about why he chose to portray such a character, all while slapping him.


Co-stars Anjan Ramachandra and Shravani Krishnaveni, along with security personnel, quickly intervened to protect Ramaswamy and defuse the situation. Theatre staff and the woman’s relatives escorted her out as the audience watched the unexpected drama unfold.

Although visibly shaken, Ramaswamy managed to maintain his composure throughout the incident. Videos of the confrontation have since gone viral across social media platforms.
