Veteran lyricist Vaali died

Veteran poet and lyricist Vaali, who has been undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Chennai, died on Thursday. Vaali���s health condition deteriorated further in the last few days and was kept on a ventilator and breathed his last on Thursday.
Vaali, 81, is one of the most respected and revered lyricists, penned lyrics for over 10,000 songs in a career that spans over five decades.The lyric writer was honoured by the Indian Government by the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of arts and cinema.
Vaali���s last film that he worked on was Bharatbala���s Maryan that stars Dhanush. He wrote the lyrics for two songs in the film.
