Veteran lyricist Vaali critically ill

Veteran poet and lyricist Vaali, who has been undergoing treatment since a long time, was admitted at a private hospital in Chennai on Wednesday. Vaali���s health deteriorated further and he was put on a ventilator.
Vaali, 81, reportedly had complained of trouble in breathing and was admitted in the hospital last month. He is one of the most respected and revered lyricists and his contribution towards Tamil cinema spans five decades.
The lyric writer was also honoured by the Indian Government by the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of arts and cinema.
