Noted Telugu filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna
has reportedly been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad for acute breathlessness.
According to reports, he is currently being kept in the
ICU with life supporting system
and is being treated by a team of specialist doctors, including an anesthesiologist, neurologist, cardiologist and a physician. He was earlier hospitalised reportedly due to paralysis stroke and had apparently fully recovered.
Kodi Ramakrishna is also an
acclaimed screenwriter
and filmmaker. He has been in the industry for over three decades, having made his debut in the early 80s. Since then he has directed more than 100 films as a director in all kinds of genres, though his
distinctive style of filmmaking
is particularly appreciated. Apart from that, he had also featured in several films, such as Dongaata (1997), Aasti Mooredu Aasha Baaredu (1995), Attagaaroo Swagatam (1986), Inti Donga (1987) and Mudilla Muchata (1985).
The veteran won the state
Raghupathi Venkaiah Award
for his contribution to Telugu cinema in 2012. He has last helmed a devotional drama ‘Avatharam’ in 2014.
