Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer 'Veera Simha Reddy, which was released on January 12, has been garnering an immense response from the audience. Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who watched the film over the weekend, was left impressed with director Gopichand Malineni’s making and called him up to tell about it personally to the filmmaker. Thailavar’s gesture made the Veera Simha Reddy director proud, and he took to social media to talk about it.

Gopichand took to Twitter and revealed about the conversation he had with Rajinikanth when the latter called him to appreciate his making. He wrote, ''This is a surreal moment for me. Received a call from the Thalaivar, The Superstar Rajinikanth sir. He watched #VeeraSimhaReddy and loved the film. The film also featured Shruti Haasan, Honey Rose, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Duniya Vijay, Lal, Naveen Chandra, P Ravi Shankar, Ajay Ghosh, Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedkar, Sapthagiri, Rajeev Kanakala and others in pivotal roles. The technical crew includes S Thaman as the music director, Rishi Punjabi as the Director of Photography, and Naveen Nooli as the editor. The movie entered the third week of its release successfully.
