Varun’s Tholi Prema will have no similarity to Pawan Kalyan original

Although it isn’t official yet, we have reliably learnt that Varun Tej’s next will be named after his uncle, Pawan Kalyan’s 1998 blockbuster, Tholi Prema. “After a lot of deliberations, the makers zeroed in on the title. Tholi Prema was a landmark film in Pawan Kalyan’s career and they are fully aware that the expectations among the fans would sky rocket. Having fully considered the pros and cons, they decided to go ahead with the title since it genuinely reflects the script.But there will be no similarities whatsoever to the original,” shares a source.
Raashi Khanna plays the female lead in the movie directed by Venky Atluri, a debutant. “It’s a touching story of a young man’s first love, how he loses her only to run into her again. So the title Tholi Prema was considered apt for it,” adds the source.
The unit has completed filming a schedule in Hyderabad recently and is headed to the UK shortly for a 35-day shoot. SS Thaman has been roped in to compose music for the film.
