Actor
Varun Tej has suffered a knee fracture while training for his upcoming film Bhari, where he plays a volleyball player. The injury occurred during practice sessions ahead of the shoot. A source told Hyderabad Times, “Varun Tej underwent surgery on Wednesday and has been advised to rest for the next three months.” His sister, actor-producer Niharika Konidela, also confirmed that the surgery was successful and that he is currently recovering.
Niharika, also a producer on the film, took to social media to share an update on her brother’s recovery
The setback is expected to impact the film’s schedule, which was initially planned to go on floors in May. Directed by Yadhu Vamsee, the rural sports drama will now likely be rescheduled once the actor regains full fitness.
